Thoby draws on his experience of 20 years in Investment Banking and a rigorous programme of coach education to champion, support and challenge his clients in pursuit of their most ambitious goals. He has coached professionals of all levels in Africa, the UK and US for the past 8 years.
Professional Experience
Thoby’s career started as an emerging markets sales trader in London, working for Investment Banking giants Robert Fleming, Deutsche Bank, and HSBC, rising to a Divisional Director, Head of Sales & Trading and Board Member at Macquarie Securities South Africa. He has worked in two of the number one rated global teams for product and, supported by an exceptional leadership team, built a third globally number one rated team from scratch.
Qualifications
Thoby holds a Masters in Management Coaching (cum laude), is a certified Time to Think Coach, a WABC Certified Business Coach™ (CBC™), a Thomas International DISC practitioner, is committed to an ongoing CPD and regularly receives coach supervision.
Personal Interests
Sports-mad Thoby enjoys riding mountain bikes with his sons in the Tweed Valley. He rebuilds motorbikes, riding across continents, and camps in a rooftop tent atop his beloved Land Rover in the Scottish Wilds.
