Simon was a senior partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP for more than 20 years where, alongside a successful corporate practice, he held numerous management roles including as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, elected Board Member, Global M&A Co-Chair, Chair of the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources practice, Chair of the firm’s Telecoms Media and Technology business and Asia Managing Partner. He also led the firm’s teams on many M&A transactions, including the largest cross-border merger ever, the largest hostile UK takeover ever and the largest UK take-private ever.

In 2018, Simon’s interest in strategy, people and organisational dynamics led him to found Rosemont Partners LLP, providing strategic and management consultancy advising global law firms and other clients on a range of strategic, governance, and management challenges as well as providing coaching to partner and C-suite level executives.

Simon brings a deep understanding of professionals, C-suite executives and organisational dynamics to his coaching. Clients value the clarity which Simon brings to complex professional, commercial and personal situations, his intuitive ability to help them identify the key questions they face and the security and safety with which he guides them through the process of developing strategies and plans to address their challenges.
