PETER URBANCZYK
Executive Coach & Consultant
AMERICAS – NEW YORK
Summary
Peter’s coaching practice is focused on helping people develop new competencies to help them thrive in the fluid world and workplace of today.
Coaching Style
Peter’s coaching approach is focused primarily on senior and mid-level managers, across Financial Services, Media, Retail, Real Estate, Consulting and Technology, including several C-suite clients. He also intentionally coaches a handful of younger clients and is increasingly focused on the challenges of intergenerational management. He works as a confidential thought partner with clients, helping them establish and achieve clear goals including developing executive presence/leadership gravitas, improving communication and collaboration, and on changing habits that “get in the way” of developing one’s highest potential.
Professional Experience
Peter’s coaching leverages the full breadth of 36 years of leadership experience in Financial Services. Peter led teams through turbulent markets, whilst serving in commercial and CEO roles in investment banking across global emerging markets. No role was more enjoyable to Peter than when managing and mentoring his people, and in 2019, he left Wall Street, attended the Hudson Coaching certification program, and began his coaching business to pursue this passion.
Qualifications
Peter received his Coaching Certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching and his ACC Credential from the International Coaching Federation. He received a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York and Bachelor of Arts from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Personal Interests
Peter is an avid – while not very good – golfer and an active squash player. He loves nature and especially hiking. He has travelled to over 35 countries and loves learning about different cultures/global perspectives. Peter’s greatest achievement was raising four exceptional “children”, now 24-31.
