Professional Experience

With a strong orientation towards B2C businesses and exceptional strategic and organisational-building skills, Punita is a high-calibre business leader with over 35 years of experience in Leadership, Strategy, and Marketing. Over the past 12 years she has served on various boards across Media, Industrial, Fintech, Consumer, Retail and other sectors, and she currently sits on the boards of DBS Bank Singapore, Carlsberg A.S Denmark, and Lupin Pharmaceuticals India. She sits on the Nominating committees of all her boards, focusing on talent development and CEO/CXO succession planning.

Punita held senior executive roles in various CPG companies, with stints across India, Hong Kong and Singapore. She was the CMO for PepsiCo in South Asia followed by CEO & MD for NourishCo, a JV between PepsiCo & Tata Beverages. Between 2014-18, she ran her own SME and start-up Consulting business. Punita was chosen as one of India’s top 20 Businesswomen by Business Today in 2006, and awarded Corporate Woman of the Year in 2009 by the Indian FICCI Women’s Organisation.

Qualifications

Punita did her Masters in Business Administration from IIM Kolkatta and her Bachelor of Economics from St Stephen’s College in New Delhi. An intellectually curious and people-oriented person, she finds joy in helping people flourish and become the best versions of themselves.​
