Su Chern Teo has lived in London, New York and Hong Kong for more than a decade and has been based in Singapore since the end of 2016. Su is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in Singapore University of Technology and Design, pioneering the content, design and delivery of the “Collaboration by Design” curriculum to all 450 first-year and 450 final-year undergraduate students. In addition, Su is in collaboration with Andrew W. Mellon Professor Michael M. J. Fischer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology on ‘The Conversations Project’, exploring themes on innovation, design and education through one-on-one conversations.
He has held senior Leadership and Organisation Development roles in GlaxoSmithKline, Investec, and Diageo. He spent the early part of his career at YSC Ltd specialising in leadership development, executive coaching and assessment.
Su was also a co-founder of Intrinsic Consulting Limited in Hong Kong and, together with her co-partners, served as coaches, catalysts and strategic collaborators to business leaders, entrepreneurs and bankers. She has experience coaching C-suite, Investment Bankers and Tech Professionals. Su’s area of expertise is in serving as a strategic collaborator to her clients and co-creating impact for the individual and the team through designing clarity and consistency. Some of her key themes are: expanding leadership and business presence, optimizing collaborative dynamics and synergy, navigating change, high-stakes conversations.
Since her return to Singapore, Su has elected to take on an advisory role to the business as it expands into China. Prior to Hong Kong, Su was an ex-investment banker and a Chartered Accountant. Su has worked on the Global Principal Finance desk in Deutsche Bank (UK), BAC Credit Derivatives (HY and Distressed) in Goldman Sachs (UK), and KPMG (UK and Singapore).
Su holds a Masters in Finance degree from London Business School, and holds the PCC and CPCC designations for coaching. She is also ICF accredited and a certified professional Co-Active Coach under the Coaches Training Institute.
Su undertakes supervision from Henry Kimsey-House and Karen Kimsey-House; Co Founders of the Coaches Training Institute. She also receives supervision from Carey Baker who is the Co-President.
