Mary-Jo's career has been focused on leadership and transformation in the public education sector. She has worked with over 300 Schools, Trusts and Organisations in the UK delivering whole-school leadership and management of change programmes. This included the roll out of National Strategies at borough level across London. Her strength as a coach is to enable transformational thinking of the individual and their role within a complex organisation.

Gaining her National Professional Qualification for Headship in 2010, she has significant experience as a leader in developing and managing individuals and teams which operate with often complex and volatile internal and external environments. Mary-Jo's strength in engaging individuals to support and challenge current practice simultaneously results in finding levers of change and change that increases distributed leadership, resulting in a pace and rigour that moves organisations forward in a more effective manner.

Mary Jo is passionate about the importance of employee well-being and how their resilience impacts the ability of people to become leaders of the change. Her belief is that through inspired, motivated and valued employees we create the circumstances for the transformation of ‘followers’ into independent thinkers and leaders. For Mary Jo, the crucial ingredient of a dynamic and inspired team is to create and protect the time for discussion and sharing, as this is too often squeezed out, overlooked or pressured amongst other internal matters.
